If your brakes aren’t operating optimally, it is very important to bring your vehicle in for a brake repair at your local Maserati dealer. It is important to know that many brake parts have to work together to slow your Maserati down and bring it to a stop when you step on the brake pedal.
Most people aren’t sure whether something is wrong with their brakes or when they should bring in their Maserati for a check-up. If any of your brake components are worn or break, this will severely impact your safety and to anyone in your car.
Once you notice any difference or you feel something is wrong with your brakes, have your Maserati be checked immediately at our Independent Service Center in Glendale, California and our service technicians will perform exceptional repair and maintenance on your brakes.
A Brake Warning Lights On
Your brake warning light or the Antilock Braking System (ABS) light on your Maserati will go on once there is a brake system problem. Schedule a repair immediately at the Independent Maserati Service Center in Glendale, Los Angeles once you notice that one of these warning lights is illuminated to avoid brake failure.
Hearing High-Pitched Squealing Sounds
The wear indicators built into the brake pads of your Maserati will make a high-pitched sound to warn you that your brake pads are worn down too thin and need to be replaced immediately.
Replace your brake pads if they are less than a quarter-inch thick so that it will not affect other brake system components and cause any damage.
Horrible Grinding Noises
You will hear horrible grinding noises if you don’t replace the brake pads in time after hearing the high-pitched warning sounds. The brake pads are now worn so thin that the bare metal is grinding against the steel rotor.
Brakes are Unresponsive and Fading
When you feel like your brake pedals are sinking into the floor and your car takes longer to a stop, you need to repair it as soon as possible. Low brake fluids cause your brakes to be unresponsive and there could be a leak in the brake hose.
Maserati Pulls to the Side When Braking
Usually, when your car pulls to one side, you have a problem with one of your wheel bearings. If your car only pulls to one side when you’re braking, you need to bring your vehicle in to have your brakes inspected.
Unevenly worn brake pads and dirty brake fluid could cause your car to pull to the left or right when you apply the brake.
This can be an indication of a bad brake hose. Another problem may be your brake caliper. If one of your brake calipers is bad, too much pressure will be applied to the other brake calipers, causing unbalanced stopping.
Brake Pedal is Vibrating or Pulsating
The rotors could be warped if you step on the brake under normal conditions and the pedal vibrates or pulsates. When the rotors get too hot or are worn, they start to warp and make uneven contact with the brake pads, causing the vibrations you feel through the brake pedal.
You Notice Puddles Under your Maserati
Yellowish or brownish puddles on the ground under your car could be brake fluid. If your car is leaking brake fluid, get it checked out immediately. Brake fluid plays a crucial role; if there’s not enough, your brakes will fail.
